About Carefree Resort

Carefree Resort has been located on the beautiful south shore of Gleniffer lake since 1985. We are just 20 minutes west of Innisfail, one and half hours from Calgary, and two hours from Edmonton, in the heart of central Alberta.

Carefree is a privately owned, bare-land condominium community with 613 owners who elect a Board of Directors to manage their corporation. The commitment and long term planning of the Board of Directors and of the owners ensures that we will continue to be the envy of all resorts in Alberta and Western Canada.

Along with our clubhouse and onsite store, we offer residents many amenities in our common areas such as an outdoor swimming pool, indoor sauna and a games room for the kids. Outdoors you will find a wide variety of things to enjoy from our sandy beach, playgrounds, ball diamond and horseshoe pits. During the summer months, our volunteer social committee is busy organizing many activities for our Carefree community.

The roads are paved for bikes, roller blades and your golf carts. You can also sit by our beautiful pond and take life in.

Carefree also offers an on-site secure storage compound for lot owner storage needs and 2 laundry facilities.

For Carefree owners, the Gleniffer Lake Boating Society operates a private boat launch and marina accommodating approximately 200 vessels.
